More Information

Each session includes

Medically supervised structured exercise by a Registered Kinesiologist:

  • Walking - up to 30 minutes 

(with rest breaks as often as needed)

  • Cooldown with Stretching - 15 minutes
  • Heart health education - 15 minutes 

No equipment required

  • A red participant lanyard will be provided 
  • Wear comfortable shoes and clothing for walking.
  • Bring a bottle of water to keep hydrated
  • If you have diabetes, bring a snack or glucose tablets along with your glucometer

Appropriate for all fitness levels

This program is suitable for beginners of all ages. Also appropriate for those wanting to maintain consistent exercise in a structured group format.

Knowing you are not alone is life-changing! The Walk in the Park program is ideal if you are looking for a walking group that can provide support, friendship and encouragement.
